Jan. activities

Hello to All,

This is such a busy season with all the extra social events that
sometimes we get off our regular routine. My wish for you is to keep
up your fitness routine even throughout this season as we all eat more
than we should this month and need to burn of those extra calories..
Good luck to all the bracelet campaign people as you continue to work
towards your next letter.

Don't forget Yoga classes are on going at my house and Studio 322 will be
sending out their new list of activities soon.

Hope everyone can make it to our next meeting at the Cafe and then on
to Julia's Studio for Zumba on Jan. 8th. Please let me know if you are
attending or not. Time 12:30.

Please continue sending good energy to all as we fight the flu bugs
and other health related issues this month.

Also check out the stocking stuffers from our local artists at
Impressions Gallery.

I am away next week sailing the Caribbean but I''ll be going to
exercise class and using the treadmill daily.. I shall be thinking of
you all.

Congratulations!!

Hello Girls,

We had a wonderful turn out Sunday for our Nov. 8th meeting. Thank you all for coming and a big thank you to Rhonda and Debra for contributing to our day. Rhonda has done a remarkable feat (lost 102 pounds and is in great shape.) Her story surely will inspire us all to work harder at staying fit. Deb did a fantastic job informing us and demonstrating the technique of race walking. Keep your ears pealed to hearing more about this activity.
We have a new member from the Luskville area, we welcome Margaret Little to our group. Margaret is a friend of Wendy's and mother of three busy children. We hope you reach your goals and have success with our program. We have 113 memberships paid for this year! We are growing!
Congratulations to all the bracelet letter winners, we now have 37 members on the campaign!
Also 5 members have joined the bracelet campaign: they are Myrna Palmer, Darlene Murphy, Marcella Hortie, Monique Donnelly and Pauline Croteau. You are joining a very special group and make the most of this incentive program to achieve your desired goal.
Members who received their letter "F" for six weeks of goal accomplishments are Shirley Cummings, Trudy Drummond, Sue Villeneuve, Shirley Kucharik, Carol Mathers, Diane Carmichael, Lucy Imbleau, Eva Griffin and PauletteLamonthe . Congratulation to you all. Now too recommit for the next 8 weeks.
Members who have received their "E" and therefore have had twelve weeks of Fitness accomplishments are Joan Derouin, Monica Dobson, Kay Ranger, Georgette Robitaille, Jean Ryan, Lise Lemaire, Marilyn Tanguay! You girls are on a winning streak for your health! Everyday research is proving that being positive and physically fit are the keys to staying healthy.
I am very pleased to hear the girls stories about how they keep going. It is much better to be fit than weigh a certain number on a scale. Being fit adds to your lifespan. (from the book "The Blue Zones")
Be mindful of what we eat our the holiday season but if you eat more than you should get out for a longer walk, ski or snow shoe than you would usually do.
Our next meeting well be Jan. 8th at the Cafe (12:30)
After the lunch we will walk to Studio by Design and enjoy Zumba with Julia. It is just a short walk away. Please let me know by Dec. 31st if you plan to attend.
Please send our healing energy to our members Brenda and Glenda.

Fitfully Yours,
Muriel

Pink on!

A group of Feel Fitters are going to meet tomorrow at the Shawville Fair flower display inside the arena at 3:00pm. If you wish to join us for a walk about the fair and maybe some refreshments just wear something pink and meet us there.

Another Great Sunday we had!

Hello Everyone,

We had a wonderful day on Sunday at the RA Hall in Otter Lake.
Thanks to all who attended. A big thank you to Dr Wendy Ryan who gave a valuable introspective workshop on 8 Dimensions of Wellness. Also thanks to Connie who did the Feel Fit presentation.
Carol and Marilyn worked the door and kept track of our attendance. We have a wonderful team and France translated my words of welcome. I am truly blessed to have such good positive gals to work with. Lulu took pictures and helped with technical support.
We had about 90 in attendance and by the very positive evaluation summaries everyone found the day helpful and informative.
In the near future we will be putting the FEEL FIT incentive criteria on the web page . Please check the page and feel free to add your blog to the page.

We are pleased to have a new member from Otter Lake, Jean Vadneau who also happens to be the Queen Bea of the Red Hat Society. We hope to hear more from that group and to have more members.
.
Feel Fit is probably the most important group you will ever join. Nothing is more important than our health and the more proactive we are the better our chances of living well.
Simply associating with like minded people who keep physically active is very positive.
